“Diverse Georgia” - Visit Ninotsminda

11.10.2015 On October 11, Ninotsminda Movie Theatre hosted the meeting of the Georgian writers – Ana Kordzaia-Saadashvili, Zurab Karumidze and Paata Shamugia with the representatives of ethnic minority within the “Diverse Georgia” project. The parties spoke about importance of development of literary processes and the positive impact of enhancement of the cultural dialogue in terms of ethno-political conflict resolution; in interactive mode, the writers held the dialogue with the local readers.

The project “Diverse Georgia” has been initiated by the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection, organized by G. Leonidze State Museum of Georgian Literature. Sundry cultural-educational activities as follows are scheduled:
 
  • Literary Evening in the village Ditsi (October 27);
  • Folk Festival in Tbilisi “Under One Sky” for the students of folk ensembles and arts schools of ethnic minorities to demonstrate musical-folk traditions and cultural heritage of the national minorities residing in the regions;
  • The film by Levan Tutberidze “Moira” to be screened in the regions inhabited with ethnic minorities (Samtskhe-Javakheti and Kvemo Kartli). The film has been accomplished in 2015 and the world premier is planned at Class A international Film Festivals;
  • The project, in view of facilitation to study of Georgian language, history and culture, envisages presentation of bilingual computer-based cognitive-entertainment program supported by the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection. Georgian-Armenian and Georgian-Azerbaijani mega games called “United Georgia” are purposed for youth residing in compact settled regions of ethnic minorities. The games comprise comprehensive information about Georgian alphabet, music, arts, literature and geography and will facilitate to youth to study Georgian history and culture, to form their general Consciousness and increase of awareness.
